Our vision is to provide a safe space for women of all ages and cultural backgrounds where they may choose to exchange stories, knowledge and wisdom that we can use individually and collectively to regain balance, identify goals and move forward in the currently chaotic social landscape.
As always, we choose to celebrate the horse because so many women experience an innate spiritual connection to and a deeply satisfying relationship with these gentle souls. This year we will explore the theme of reciprocity between horses and women by considering two topics: the energetics between them and how the movements of the horse affect human physiology.
At the end of our busy days, we shall come together around the campfire in the spirit of camaraderie, to share what we choose and to hold space for the presence, thoughts, songs and stories of others.
More than anything else, Covid-19 presented us with the opportunity to connect to nature and reflect on the importance of this connection to our well being and survival. We at CCO acknowledge that climate change issues disproportionately affect Indigenous people and invite you to enrich your experience with nature, strengthen your bonds to it and partner with The People of the Land, the Líl’wat7úl to protect it in perpetuity.

Keeping a journal is an effective way to identify, categorize and analyze life experiences, reflect on their lessons and map our journeys through life. There is no right way or wrong way to journal - it’s a beautiful and accessible tool to have in your personal resource kit. Building from the wisdom of the Spiral of the Work that Reconnects, writer, community activist and chronic journal-filler Lisa Richardson will offer workshops to help you explore Journalling as a personal practice of unconditional positive self-regard and honouring the container of the body and what it’s telling us.

Holistic chef Alice Savage and holistic herbal therapist Evelyn Coggins, will collaborate to feed our guests one of the healthiest and most sustainable menus currently recognized by nutrition science.
